Target

Walmart Mexico and Central America, in 2011 It asked its suppliers to use an electronic catalog certified under international standards for high process product categories Grocery edible and inedible, Health and Beauty, Alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

For 2012 it continues with this initiative and categories of products are summed Home, General Merchandise, Entertainment, Electronics and self-service pharmacy that have the quality check product data by SECODAT (Checking Service Data) GS1 and take shots of photography.

Benefit

• - Reduction processes in registering new items.
• - Decreases filling multiple formats for customers.
• - Increased accuracy of data exchanged between trading partners.
• - Improves planogramming product in the store.

Steps

If you are a supplier of Walmart Mexico and Central America the steps you must follow are:

1. Come to GS1 Mexico and have your Location Number (GLN).
2. Take the course of standards and quality of data provided by GS1 Mexico.
3. Hire your electronic catalog service provider with a certificate under standard GS1.
4. Load the information of your products, check their quality and upload your images in the electronic catalog.
5. Post information about your products to Walmart to GLN: 7507003100001

Remember that your products must have data quality, for that resorts to SECODAT (Checking Service Data) to check and validate the information of products./p>
