GS1 Mexico has developed a standard to simplify the process of collecting and receiving payment service providers, using a barcode: Universal Capture Line. The Universal Capture Line is that all relevant information on servicing is organized into one code GS1-128. This information serves as identification of the company providing the service, subscriber, payment deadline, Payment types accepted, currency in which the payment is made and, of course, the amount payable; all in a barcode. The payee, which may be a bank, supermarket, minisúper, and even a "corner store", only need to take a reading system (scanner) code to interpret all receipts for different service providers that use the standard Universal Capture Line. At present, many services use internal codes to make their collections; however they organize information in their charges according to each company and can not be read by any scanner. For example, in a facility that can receive a payment of cell phone service, You can not charge a utility bill, unless you invest in another reading system. With the Universal Capture Line is to eliminate this limitation. The payee may charge different services and the service provider will have more windows recovery. Further, the amount of information that can be stored in the code of a Universal Capture Line is so broad that it can identify a more timely manner when, where, Who and how to make payment.
